Vanguard’s manually fed bonded fastener machines are available in two styles: single and double headed. Single headed machines offer high versatility. They are capable of applying fasteners in all positions at a typical rate of 4000 per hour. Double headed machines apply two fasteners on one folder simultaneously. They are ideal for high volume products requiring positions 1 and 3 or 2 and 4 at a typical rate of 8000 fasteners per hour, but are capable of installation in any position. Both machine styles will accept 1″, 2″ or metric fasteners. An optical sensor will fire the machine when product is in position to reduce foot pedal fatigue.

Bonded Machine Operators’ Guide

Single Sheet Bonded Machine

AUTO-SINGLE-SHEET-FEEDER

The automatic bonded sheet feeder will install bonded fasteners onto sheet products at speeds up to 80 sheets per minute. The sheets are stacked in the hopper of the sheet feeder. The machine will receive the sheet product from the feeder, apply the fastener in the required position, then deliver the product to the end conveyor which will count and restack the product. The touch screen is used to control the machine, change user settings, and display error messages.

Automatic Bonded Folder Feeder

The automatic bonded folder feeder will install either one or two bonded fasteners onto file folders at speeds up to 70 folders per minute. The folders are stacked in the hopper. The machine will unfold the folder, apply the fasteners in the required positions, then refold, count, and restack the folders. Folders that are missing fasteners or do not unfold are ejected onto the floor and not counted. The touch screen is used to control the machine, change user settings, and display error messages.

New Generation Automatic Folder Feeder

The new generation automatic bonded folder feeder will install either one or two bonded fasteners in positions 1 thru 4 onto file folders at speeds up to 70 folders per minute. The folders are stacked in the hopper. The machine will unfold the folder, apply the fasteners in the required positions, then refold, count, and restack the folders. Folders that don’t unfold or that are missing fasteners are detected. The machine will also run most single sheets 11 pt. to pressboard, stacking and counting them. The touch screen is used to control the machine, change user settings, and display error messages.

Embedded Flat Fastener Machineembedded_flat

This manually fed embedded fastener machine will install fasteners on sheet and folder products including pressboard as fast as an operator can feed it (typically about 70/min.) An optical sensor will fire the machine when product is in position to reduce foot pedal fatigue. This cam driven machine offers greater reliability and uptime than air cylinder powered machines.

Duo Tool Machine

The duo tool manual fastener machine is capable of running single sheet panels, letter or legal, 8pt. to pressboard as fast as the operator can feed it (typically about 70/min). The product is fed by hand into the machine then counted into stacks which collect in a conveyor at the end. An optical sensor will fire the machine when product is in position to reduce foot pedal fatigue. Sheets that are missing fasteners are detected.
